AYN
RAND
1905-1982
The founder of the philosophy of
Objectivism, Rand was born in Russia but
lived most of her life in America. A
staunch proponent of egoism and
laissez-faire capitalism, her life was
devoted to the causes of human freedom and
liberty. Writing as both a novelist and a
philosopher, her work has had a profound
influence on modern thought.

OBJECTIVISM
"The basic 'text' of the philosophy of
objectivism. For those want an
understanding of this dynamic movement,
this is the book to read. It does not,
however, replace a reading of Ayn Rand's
own work. While I have some fundamental
disagreements with objectivism, there is
no question it is refreshing to see the
interest in philosophy the movement has
generated." J.D.
