About Graham Hancock

Graham Hancock is a former East African correspondent for The Economist and he covered the Ogaden war between Somalia and Ethiopia for the London Sunday Times. He has traveled around the world writing books and filming movies on archaeological discoveries and their connection to our distant past. He lives in Devon, England.

A Most Intriguing Book from Graham Hancock

The Mars Mystery: The Secret Connection Between Earth and the Red Planet

Mars holds a special fascination for us, because it is the most Earth-like planet we've yet encountered. As we continue to explore the red planet, geological evidence mounts that long ago water flowed freely across its surface, begging the question: If there was water, was there life? Graham Hancock thinks so. In fact, Hancock believes that certain formations on the Martian surface are the remnants of an ancient civilization--one strikingly similar to ancient Egypt--that was destroyed by a cataclysmic deep impact. Further, Hancock claims that NASA's reluctance to give credence to "The Face," "The Pyramids," and other things people see in images of the Martian surface is evidence that the U.S. space agency is motivated by cold war paranoia and mistrust. Fascinating Reading!

Is everything we've been taught about the ancient Egyptians and the building of the pyramids wrong? Was there a lost civilization in ancient times that we knew nothing about until now? Did it build the pyramids? A provocative idea!

Fingerprints of the Gods: The Evidence of Earth's Lost Civilization

"Graham Hancock may be familiar to many of you since he makes appearances on television documentaries about the "Egypt question." He has also been interviewed on national talk-radio shows such as Art Bell's "Coast to Coast." He even has a site on the world wide web! If you have not read his books, you're in for an adventure. I'm not sure whether Hancock's speculative theories are correct (and that's what they are - speculative), but he certainly challenges the "conventional wisdom" within archaeology and Egyptology. And who knows? Maybe his theories will be shown to be correct and eventually be accepted by the contemporary experts. On the other hand....Well, let's enjoy reading him and evaluating what he has to say. I have also included a book by Robert Bauval & Adrian Gilbert. Robert Bauval has been an associate of Hancocks and appears with him often on radio and TV. Their "radical" ideas are worth a look." ---J. Dolhenty

Here are some more books by this provocative author. And a Video production...
