Crime is not one of the "Great Ideas" as
determined by Mortimer Adler's group who worked on
the Great Books Program; however, "Law" and
"Justice" - and "punishment" - are included among
those Great Ideas. Crime, however, has been a
reality of the "Human Condition" in all of recorded
history; it has been a constant of human life.
We approach this subject - Crime, Law, &
Justice - from both a "philosophical" point of
view, and also from a practical, down-to-earth,
applied point-of-view. You will find here, then,
both a theoretical and a practical discussion of
the subject, as well as information about many
outside resources, including books and audio-visual
materials.
