The Radical Academy has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for our website. Spam The Radical Academy considers spamming a misuse of the Internet. Under no circumstances is our website involved in spamming. We do not use e-mail to send advertisements or solicitations, with the sole exception of our Ezine of Applied Philosophy which may contain advertising, but is sent only to those who have signed up for the monthly publication, and who may unsubscribe at any time. Unauthorized E-mails Frequently the Internet is plagued with a virus. Most of these appear to affect the e-mail system in some way or other. It is now more common than not that a virus will collect e-mail addresses, including e-mail addresses which belong to our website, replicate them and send messages to others as though they came from The Radical Academy. We do not send unsolicited e-mails. We do not do mass mailings except for our monthly Ezine which is sent to subscribers only. Should you receive any suspicious e-mails, even though it appears to come from us, delete it immediately. Should it contain an attachment, do not open it. We do not usually send attachments with our e-mails. Advertisers We use outside ad companies/merchants/partners/affiliates to display ads on our site. These ads may contain cookies. Information received through banner ads may be collected by these third parties, and we do not have access to this information. Personal Information This Website generally does not request any personal information or collect any information that personally identifies you or allows you to be personally contacted, with the exceptions mentioned below. We do have an e-mail list for our monthly Ezine of Applied Philosophy that is sent only to subscribers and that list is not used for any other purpose. We do not sell, give away, rent, or otherwise provide our e-mail list to any outside party. We do not share any personal information with any third party nor do we use any personal information for any purposes. Public Forums This website makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Information Submission Forms This website makes some information forms available which can be sent to us, such as our Feedback Form and our Ask the Academy Question Form. These forms require that you include your e-mail address in order to activate the form. This is done only so we can contact you personally about your comments or questions. We do not store these e-mail addresses, use them to generate lists, or sell, rent, or otherwise give away these e-mail addresses to anyone else. Surveys and Polls We use surveys and polls on our website which are generated by us. The only information collected in these features is your vote.
